Did you happen to see the Distractional 101 Segment on The Today Show?
Meredith Vieira was filmed driving in a Simulator. She moved up to within 3 car lengths of the car ahead when she was "Texted", took her eyes off the road and was headed for a crash when filming stopped. Her reaction confirmed the Presenter's opening statement that the braking time for someone Texting or Talking on the Cell Phone while driving is 4 times slower braking than a Driver who isn't.
I'm sure you are a good Driver; but that doesn't mean you won't be clobbered by a Driver who is talking on the Cell Phone or Texting.
